SET OUT FOR SOMEWHERE

At 35 I started wondering; Where’s the place where I belong?
In the book of life,’today’, was the only page that I could see.
So on a clear blue day, somewhere mid-november. I packed my bags and ran.
Where to go? An unknown road in front of me.

After three days of walking, I reached a village, a sign said ‘here you are’.
A house of god, a café; all that was left behind.
Three old men told me, their road to somewhere, was somewhere left behind,
too long ago. Do they still remember?

Another day goes by, another page to write.
The story appears, when I look inside my mind.
So I have to go on.

In the evening I tried to find a place, where I could spend the night alone.
The owner of this house was as silent as a grave.
But then she started talking and four hours later, the only thing I could say was;
“I have to go.” But I will surely remember you.

Another night goes by, another page to write.
The story appears, when I look inside my mind.
And I have to go on.

So I listen to the stories of a chapter in their lives.
It makes me realise, I’ve got a lot to learn.

Unknown aspects of this mystery, knowledge (is) left behind.
To find a way to climb. Can water ever burn?

So I try to meet the people who’ll tell me something really important,
about life and love, dreams and loneliness.

And a silent tear falls down, on a soil of happiness.
It leaves it’s marks behind on conclusions I can guess.

At the end of the road, the wind brought me a song, played out of tune.
And thirty voices sang the words to me.
This singing gave me the hope to find the answers to the questions in my mind.
So I’ll keep on searching.

Another day goes by, another page to write.
The story appears when I look inside my mind.
And I have to go on.

Another book to write, another life to live.
The only thing I need is a little time.
So I can go on……
To go on…….
